Message from Dr Snell:
I am writing to let you know that after thirteen years of involvement with Lilliput Surgery, and more recently Shore Medical, I am leaving the Practice at the end of April 2021.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Lilliput having trained here back in 2007/2008. Over the years I have developed additional interests including training future GPs, several of whom have come back and worked for us. For the last four years I have also worked one day a week at the Eye Unit at Royal Bournemouth Hospital developing an interest in glaucoma management.
I have been privileged to be involved in many of your lives, treating families, often involving several generations, and I have seen several children grow into adults during my time at the Practice. This long-term relationship and continuity with patients has played a big part in the enjoyment I have found in my job for more than a decade.
For some of you, I have been closely involved in your long-term health issues and have got to know you well and hopefully helped you along the way. Those relationships will be missed.
COVID19 has meant that the last year has been particularly challenging for all of us but I made the decision to stay on over last winter and I hope we are now over the worst of it. I am very proud of the fantastic achievements Shore Medical has made in vaccinating so many of its patients and I hope this team of brilliant colleagues continues on to many such successes in the future.
My very best wishes to you all
Dr Jonathan Snell
