At Shore Medical we are looking to recruit a motivated and forward-thinking GP to join our expanding research team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a wide portfolio of high-quality clinical trials, primary NIHR non-commercial studies as well as commercial research. This will include working collaboratively with other local practices in Dorset and as such applicants may be expected to travel to neighbouring PCNs.
The role, supervised by Dr Alex Todd, involves delivering research in line with Good Clinical Practice and will include identifying, screening, recruiting and monitoring of patients on clinical trials.
The candidate would be expected to help support our experienced nursing team and coordinator. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training, strong communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills are essential. Prior research experience is desirable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new research nurse position to join our research team at Shore Medical.
We have a number of clinical trials open to recruitment, both non-commercial and commercial. Over the last year we have joined a local Dorset Research Collaboration Group along with a number of other Dorset Practices. This allows us to be able to offer our patients the opportunity to take part in commercial studies. As a result of this growing activity, we are looking to expand our research team to support this growth.
The role includes screening and recruiting patients into clinical trials and delivering high quality clinical care.
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication skills who can demonstrate working effectively managing their own caseload of patients and also supporting the wider team. Being approachable, flexible and keen to learn new skills are important qualities. Extension training on research specifics will be provided. You will be supported by an experienced research team including research GPs with dedicated sessions working in research.
