How to use:

The search is for all the practices in the Shore Medical Network.

Type your postcode in the PostCode Search Box. Then press the enter key on your keyboard or click the search icon .

If the postcode is in the catchment area, the location icon will turn green

and will be seen within the purple boundary. A notification “Postcode entered is within the SHORE MEDICAL catchment” will also be seen

If the postcode is not in the catchment area, the location icon will turn red

and will be seen outside the purple boundary. A notification “Postcode entered is not within the SHORE MEDICAL catchment” will also be seen

Weight Loss Management

Weight loss management – we appreciate that patients may be interested in discussing weight loss medications that are newly available within the NHS. Please be aware that there are strict conditions around which patients are eligible for these at the moment and NHS Dorset will contact anyone that would qualify as being eligible to receive Mounjaro directly.

From Autumn, a new service is being commissioned that will take over the longer-term prescribing of these medications and provide holistic weight management support. As such, at the moment, GP’s are not allowed to prescribe these medications purely for weight loss.
