Sexual Safety Practice Charter

On 5 December 2025, NHS England introduced new actions and a self-assurance checklist for GP practices to prevent sexual misconduct and ensure compliance with the Sexual Safety Charter.

Shore Medical has completed the below actions to prevent sexual misconduct, in line with the principles of the sexual safety charter:

Updated company policy to include what constitutes “sexual harassment/misconduct” and reflect our commitment to the prevention of sexual misconduct
Sexual safety organisational leads appointed
Chaperone Policy updated
Mandatory training assigned/completed by all staff

Weight Loss Management

Weight loss management – we appreciate that patients may be interested in discussing weight loss medications that are newly available within the NHS. Please be aware that there are strict conditions around which patients are eligible for these at the moment and NHS Dorset will contact anyone that would qualify as being eligible to receive Mounjaro directly.

From Autumn, a new service is being commissioned that will take over the longer-term prescribing of these medications and provide holistic weight management support. As such, at the moment, GP’s are not allowed to prescribe these medications purely for weight loss.
