As we face the reality of a second lockdown, we want to assure you that we are here for you.

Over the past few weeks, we have been preparing for this situation so that we can continue to provide essential services despite the restrictions imposed.

Our Care Navigation system is now up and running and aims to help you access the right care for your problem. By accessing us online, the phone lines are available for those with urgent medical problems and those who cannot access the internet.

If you are worried about your mental or physical health or if you need a medication review, a cervical smear, an immunisation or wound care please complete an online eConsult. This will be assessed by our Medically trained Care Navigators and you will receive a response within 48 working hours.

If you have an urgent problem or cannot access the internet, our phone lines are still open and our Receptionists will ask you some vital questions in order to deal with your query. Please help them to help you by answering these questions to the best of your ability.

Our Clinicians will continue to use telephone and video consultations to assess you, with face to face appointments organised if there is a clinical need. Our dedicated visiting team will continue to care for those most vulnerable patients who are housebound or in residential care.

We are lucky enough to have 6 clinics sites and will continue to use our Fernside Branch to see and assess patients who have potentially infectious symptoms. This helps to maintain your safety and that of our staff.

Whether your problem is Covid-19 related or not, we are here for you and will continue to work hard to help you and your loved ones. We appreciate that this is not General Practice as you know it, but we hope that these changes will help us to help you maintain your health and well-being.

With best wishes

The Shore Medical Team 💙
