We continue to experience very high demand for services leading to increased numbers of Telephone Calls and Klinik submissions from patients. This leads to delays in answering calls and responding to patient enquiries and we ask that patients are understanding at this extremely busy time.
The current crisis in General Practice is well documented and Shore Medical, along with all practices in Dorset are no exception. The pressures of the increased post pandemic workload has meant that staff are working incredibly hard to meet patients care needs and during the summer months we have more staff on well needed annual leave. We appreciate that when you need medical care it is important that you get access to the right clinician as soon as possible and our teams will always prioritise those with the most need. As a practice despite the national shortages we continue to recruit more Doctors to assist patients with four new GP’s joining the team this month.
We ask that for minor ailments patients consider the NHS website (www.nhs.uk) or speaking with your local pharmacy for advice and over the counter medication, and for other enquiries please use the online Klinik system where possible to allow staff to triage your case to the most appropriate member of the clinical team.
