We know that there have been many changes for our patients over the last year – even before the global pandemic, the launch of Shore Medical meant new staff, new booking systems and new policies.

Covid-19 has served as a catalyst for the evolution of Shore Medical and in order to continue providing our services and remain accessible to our patients we have had to completely overhaul our appointment system and retrain all our staff. Without these changes, we would not be able to provide the wide range of teleconsultations that we offer or continue to see patients face to face when necessary.

From Monday 19th October, we are excited to launch our new CARE NAVIGATION model to help you access the right care for your problem in a timely manner.

In order to direct you to the most appropriate help for your problem we are asking patients to complete an online eConsult. This can be accessed via our website www.shoremedical.co.uk where you will then be able to select your usual Practice. You will receive a response from your surgery before the end of the following day.

BUT, please don’t worry, we realise that not everybody can complete online forms, so for those of you that cannot complete an eConsult please telephone the surgery as normal and a member of our Reception team will guide you through some simple questions over the phone. This information will then be passed onto the appropriate clinician.

We have worked hard to try to ensure that this system improves accessibility to our services. We are grateful for your understanding and patience as our staff adapt to this new system. As ever, we are very keen to receive feedback that will enable us to improve this service.
